ADVENTURE NORDIC WALKS


Fancy a walk in our beautiful countryside and work your whole body at the same time.


Lowther Castle Estate - CANCELLED

A one hour nordic walk around Lowther Park.  Walk for improvers and experienced Nordic walkers.  


Walk will be around 3 miles long and utilise the tracks on the estate.  


£7 incl. Pole hire (1hr).  Meet in car park.  8 sets of poles available to borrow.

LEARN TO NORDIC WALK


Not sure what Nordic Walking is all about then book in to one of the beginners courses to get the most out of walking with poles.  Benefits of Nordic Walking include:


- Tones the upper and lower body at the same time.

- Uses 90% of the skeletal muscles.

- Burns up to 46% more calories than ordinary walking.

- It’s very sociable; participants can chat as they go!


Lowther Castle Estate - CANCELLED

A two hour course teaching the basic techniques of Nordic Walking.  By the end of this course you will understand the diffence between trekking and nordic poles, feel the benefits of nordic walking and understand how you can use them to achieve your fitness goals.


£15 incl. pole hire (2hrs).  Meet at car park.  Max 8 people.
